Checked your download

I downloaded and checked your db, and couldn't find anything strange about it except for this:

When I copied the boxes from your About document into a new About document in a test database of my own, the "hide-when" formulas were still there, but they were not ticked. As soon as I ticked them they worked. I tried all sorts of combinations of hidden computed text, hidden plain text, hidden tables etc, and everything worked.

So, my suggestion would be to start with a completely blank About document, and create your tables, computed text, buttons and hide-when formulas again from the very beginning, as something must be corrupt in your document. Other than that, I've run out of suggestions!
